patch 1.2 doesn't work

Hi,

after running patch 1.2 the game will freeze while AI players are taking their turns.

Have uninstalled, re-installed, ran patch again but still the same problem.
Any ideas?

Really? Thats never happened to me. Maybe your visual settings are too high and the machine is having trouble with the ai units moving.

the patch didnt work properly from the start - popup tooltip things didnt work, thats the first thing I noticed.

Anyway, I can live without it

Two things.
Make sure that before you install the patch (onto a clean m2tw installation where you manually removed all leftover files), you have more than 4 GB of free HD space on that particular drive.
Make sure you are not running a no-cd crack.

Both of these are known to cause your issue.
