Hi all, in my current french campaign I'm pretty at war with every catholic faction, yet when I try to make an alliance with the russians (at war with the danes) it says : neutral for 83 turns.What the hell does it mean and why would they do that?

It means that as of the time you sent the diplomat, the relationship between your countries was neutral and had been for 83 turns ~;)
ooow... I thought they were going to stay neutral for 83 turns,thus not allowing me to make an alliance ^^
If they are allied to any of the nations you are at war with you won't get the option of initiating an alliance.
