How do you use a Black Stallion?
I've seen this mentioned elsewhere but could not find a concise answer.
Several of my assassins now have Black Stallions, which according to the description on the packet will increase the speed of my army by 25%.
However, I can't seem to persuade an assassin to give his horse to a general, and putting the assassin in the army stack doesn't seem to make any difference to its movement.
Can someone just explain what I need to do?
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
It just makes the assasin faster not an army

You can't be serious
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
Can't really expect the whole army to ride on a single black stallion I guess.:beam:
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
I've cheat tested that on generals and it does increase army movement as well.
IINM it's an agent horse only. If you get it on an agent it auto increases the movement points.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
I've yet to find a single character trait thing (eg artist, black stallion, Hospitaller Knight etc) that can actually be transferred between two Generals, never mind between different kinds of characters.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
yup... me as well... hmm i was under the impression that those movement points didnt go for the army as well... but im not sure though...
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
I got that relic from capturing Milan and I could transfer that, apart from that I haven't found anything either.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
I think it means athat your assasin can travel 25% longer in turn
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
Right! so it increases movement by 25%, and if it appears on a general it entitles his armies to force march.
So, one Black Stallion can carry the entire Army faster, but it can't be transferred from an Agent to a General.
Any idea what the conditions are for a General acquiring one?
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
I thought a basic rule follow if the traits are transferable.
You can't transfer a "human" or "fleshly" trait. e.g. traits with a human face or a living animal.
You can transfer artifacts among your characters.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
Strange, you could transfer retinue members all you wanted in RTW.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
you can transfer some... apothecery you can transfer... and tutor. and a few more... you can make m all transferable if you want
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
btw it doesnt work... it only makes your general walk faster... not the entire army. per example drillmaster, gives also 25% extra movepoints and it says your army can forced march... but it cant... it doesnt work, only your general marches faster not your army.
Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
Drill master does increase speed of whole army, I think, you just have to have drill master equipped on your general at the end of the turn. Then at the beginning of the next turn, everyone in his stack gets movement bonus. I don't know much about black stallions, but according to this page http://noctalis.com/dis/totalwar/m2tw_govretinue.shtml they should be transferrable with similar effect as the drill master. Having these two retinues along with the general traits that allow movement bonus, and you literally have an overnight delivery guy.

Yeah thats right, Drillmaster etc does work, but only comes into effect the turn AFTER you get it (unless you get it given at the start of your turn, then its active during your turn. I've tested it too and it does work).

Wouldn't it be funny if you could transfer the good wife one or the bossy mother (I know they are worded differently but the thought is the same.)
I mean think about what you would say to the General. It would be like, "Yes, your wife is really hot but your a dumb*ss and she should get inpregnated by my son, we talked it over with her and she agrees. Also, I am going to bang your mom so shes no longer your mom. You know, on second though, I am going to pass your wife around to this general and that general until I find a good match for her. In return, I offer you nothing and thank you for your loyalty."

Awe come on, I thought for sure that would be funny and deserved a snappy comeback. Heh, oh well.

As stated by two others. It works. Someone else made the assumption that it was broken and a member took it upon himself to prove it worked (and provided pics).
Found thread - you're busted.

Re: How do you use a Black Stallion?
Sorry, with Pizzaguy not rambling on about something very minor and work/girlfriend/homelife/ect going to crap, I am trying to break the monotony of this experience in my life right now.
