:laugh4:
From an immersion point of view I hope not. Pirates on the other hand better be, just to keep things interesting.
Pirates are definately in but Disney own Captain Sparrow so we won't be seeing him.I hope some famous pirates like Black Beard and Black Bart are scripted to appear.Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
oh,
well hector barbossa?
Yeah, I think the pirates can take the place of the usual rebels at sea, on land...hmm...not sure.
you didnt answer my qustion..
Of course they won't be included :laugh4:Quote:

Well guys, you all should know that the golden age of pirates had long passed by 1700. And they were not much of a threat to warships…they tended to run away.
There are plenty of pirate games out there, even if some are a bit dated and they usually run from the 1500s to about 1720. With that said, has CA ever left rebel forces out of any of their games?
All the same, if they leave out all the Hollywood History, to me that is a plus.
I will boycott them if they are in. This is a history, not a fantasy game.
Highly unlikely.
ah fisher king
are you saying that the pirate era wasnt in the 1700s?
HAVENT YOU SEEN POTC?1?!?

my point about the dauntless is this
empires set in 1700
if ships of the line exist at the period as they do
and jack sparrow commederd it
jack sparrow must be in the game!
or else its as perver green said!
its about history not fantasy
savvy?
Jack Sparrow wasn't real..."all rights reserved Jack Sparrow is owned and distributed by Disney, any use or copyright of this character is expressly forbidden. If you try to steal him something bad will happen to you."-DisneyQuote:

I think this discussion is like when you enter a teleporter...only to be hurtled into another teleporter, which returns you to the first teleporter - but you've got too much speed built up to get out of the eternal teleportation loop.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
what!
no
nonononoono
he got the fountain of youth mate
so hes going to be in the WHOLE game
I'd like to make a motion for this thread to be closed or moved? Are we really going to talk about a fictional character not being in the game? :gah:
Bartix thread reincarnation of the year!

NOTE: Not CA bashing or anything, just a little light-hearted teasing. I only accept constructive criticism anyway.
They've had joke names in the files before. I've remembered seeing an admerial Akabar leading one of my fleets before.
They had Captain Kirk in M2TW.
Moses as a Heretic.
In all seriousness, Pirates themselves should be in the game, I am talking about Teach aka "Blackbeard", Bonnet, Roberts, Kidd etc.
The Golden Age of Piracy was in the 1700's, so pirates had most certainly not died off by now, so I see no problem with having small (and I mean small) pirate fleets that act as pains in the arse as Pirates did, yes I know you could send a 20 stack navy to go get them but lets be honest, why bother doing that, waste of ships, just send a few.
Some people think pirates shouldn't be in, but the Golden Age was the early 1700's and it would make me actually more bothered about these "rebel" boats, but only if its historically based pirates, no Disney (I do love the films but still, I love history more :laugh4:)
