Another You Pick Thread....

Due to the fact that my last Qarthadastim campaign won't stop CTD'ing (which is wierd, because I haven't run into any other consistent CTD's with any other faction, so I don't know what's wrong) and I enjoy writing, I've decided to do a new aar. I've thought of some factions which I might like to try an aar on.

Given the recent trend to please the masses, I figured I would follow suit, although my options will be a little different than others.

My choices are Epeiros, Baktria or Ptolemaioi. What would you most enjoy reading?

I always liked the Ptolemaioi but never got around to playing as them. I'd like to see you take on the mantle of Pharoah and conquer those AS bastards. ;D Plus it would help me get in the mood to play them myself. :2thumbsup: har har

Went with Ptolemai because...well they have great units

I'll even it out and say Baktria...They've always seemed to me the most exotic of the successor factions; always wanted to play a campaign with them. Perhaps your writing would inspire me to do so....:beam:

Ptolemies or Baktria Hm? Ptolemies :idea2: they have those big ethiopian guard guys with axes:Mr-T: + plus a whole slew of other units!

Baktria. Everybody likes them. Although I'd love to an AAR which ultimately ends in defeat.

I did a Bactria AAR that you would have been very happ with, then. It only lasted about 20 years. It's still probably over in the XGM forum on TWC. I wouldn't mind giving them a whirl on EB though.

What I'd really love from your next AAR is Baktria run over by Saka around 130 BCE. :laugh4:

I had to go with Baktria. Maybe it's because I don't know much about them or that I would just like to see them in action.

Or it could be that I, for some odd reason, have never like the Ptolemies. Epieros could be fun but I would rather see Baktria.

Yeah, I remember that dude....he never finished the longer, faster, bigger aar btw....at least mine was finished (a loss, but finished nonetheless), although I should have used Photobucket for the pics, cuz then they would still be there.

Right now Baktria is winning by one. I'm going to wait a few more days though. I think Xenh II is doing a Ptolemaioi aar, so maybe starting a second one at the same time would be too much Ptolemaioi. I'm leaning towards Baktria at this point. If Ptolemaioi wins by a huge margin, maybe I'll just make sure mine is a different writing style.:2thumbsup:

I voted Bactria because I like thme as a fction. I couldn't decide whether to do an aar for Bactria or Epeiros. I guess I'll start my probably on tuesdsay. I liked your last carthage aar, i think thats the style I'm going to use. I'm keeping on an on this. :)

good luck man! The Saka might be a pain later on, but remember, nomads got it tough too

Well, actually, I have to deal with a big "Saka" stack right in my territory in the beginning of the game. They're just not Saka, they're Eleuthoroi, but they have a bunch of Saka Lancers and crap like that.

Actually, the first time I played EB, I chose Baktria because I like them in XGM, and I liked there banner and colors, too. I approached that battle as the "usual" rebel stack, and got my ass handed to me like 3 times in a row by that starting Eleuthoroi army. Heh, should be interesting to see how I deal with that. I hope my AAR isn't one chapter long. :)

EDIT: After playing EB a lot more, I now know that they're is no such thing as a "usual" rebel stack in this game. Eleuthoroi are often just as deadly as any factions troops, and, for that, I thank the mod's creators.

don't worry man, as you'll see Eleutheroi have earned my hatred in my Sauromatae camaign...
i'm friggin paranoid that a huge Eleutheroi stack is gonna come knock out one of my towns while my lil raiding party is away :no:
