Stats of Generals vs Captains?

Does anyone know the default stats of Generals and the stats for Captains? Moral Bonuses, Command Bonuses? I want to know how much effect traits have on General's skills compared to the core stats of Generals and Captains. I'm trying to make it so that Generals are ALWAYS at least as good as Captains are.

To the best of my knowledge, a general with no traits/ancillaries is the same as a captain, just typically with a better unit.

Also, can morale and command go into the negatives, so that a captain can actually be better than a general?

Morale and Command bonuses can be negative so a captain can be better than a general.
