Alexander Question
Is it worth getting? I'm going to get RTW: Complete on Steam, and since Alexander is only $10 more, I was thinking I'd get the whole set, but I've seen some negative opinions on it, so now I can't decide... So, is it worth $10? Will it be worth more than one play through? Are the mods that require it (like that one that opens up Persia and India, for example) good enough to make up for any lacking that the normal expansion has?

Re: Alexander Question
Hi.
I dont understand your reference to 'Steam'
But is Alexander worth $10 ?
I personally dont think so..unless some loaded relative is looking for gift ideas for Christmas or Birthday.
Ive got Alexander as part of the Era's boxed set (Christmas presee last year). Played it once on campaign and a few times in multiplayer. Im in no hurry to go play it again. It wasnt bad but it only has one faction and Ive done that.
Im more likely to play one of the many RTW/BI mods in solo play or RTW/BI in a succession campaign.

Re: Alexander Question
Steam meaning Valve's online game distribution program. Lots of games in it, no disk switching, usable anywhere without disks (they're connected to the program), etc.
Anyone else have any opinions, or is that a universal feeling?

Re: Alexander Question
Well, generally Alexander wasn't that great by itself. It has some nice features, but they mostly concern modders. I'd say buy it only if you intend to play a mod that's based on it. LotR:TW is one I'd suggest.

Re: Alexander Question
While Alexander isnt the best TW game, i'd still say that it's definetly worth getting if you're a major total war fan.
