Making Merc's , Help Please

Sorry to bother you all, But im trying to add more mercenaries for factions to recruit in the regular campaign.

Im still Running into some issues and need to ask a few questions.

Ive read the "tutorial" but its about adding a new unit to the game, not a simple "how to make a already existing unit into a merc so anyone can recruit it"

Well, I included "Broken Lances" into my Merc file , so it will appear in recruit pool *Complete*

I then added the tga file and now the Unit card appears *Complete*

I attempted to edit the Modeldb file, *unsuccessfully?* and my unit is still a textureless "ghost" ...

1) What exactly do i need to edit in the Modeldb file?
(example: Making broken lances available to catholic factions to recruit in X region)

2) The pic and text description isnt coming up when i right click the unit to read its stats. (Not sure what file this is or what to edit)

3) Once i get Broken Lances working, how do i give them Armor upgrades? (Are they automatically upgradable in my city's blacksmith, or do i need to make the Merc already of the upgraded armor (so its recruited with best armor already)


If i can get the old M2tw units working, ill start attempting to edit in M2TW Kingdoms units into the old campaign game
But thats for another thread hehe

1) You need to add a mercenary texture and attachment set. Copy another texture section, rename it to mercs, fix the string length; do the same for the attachment set and then increase the texture and attset counts by one

2) You need to edit text/export_units.txt, each unit has a name, a description and a short description

3) No idea
