Re: Couple things I noticed.
The issue with the feet might be on your end: you could try to fiddle with the Shaders options in the Video Options Menu.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Will do so next time i'm playing and post results.
Thanks.
Hehe it was classic defending a walled town, namely Lepki I think it was, damn Ptolemoaoi (sp) decided to try and take it. Now every 5-10 turns I get a near full stack attacking it. Doesnt bother me seeing as I want to head that way soon enough. I noticed their having no feet while watching the battle with camera level at the top of the wall and thought what the hell.
Great campaign going. At 250BC (Roughly) and only at war with Lusotann and Ptolemoaoi. Rome has left me quite alone! Its great.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
The general with no sword problem happens when the unit the general or captain is with switches to secondary weapons. Generals don't come with secondary weapons and so they switch to nothing. I thinks its fixed for most generals in the next build.
Foot
Re: Couple things I noticed.
K, I was thinking it could be that.
Um just a question, Is there a way to turn off Fog of War without using the command line? You may have seen my earlier topic where for some odd reason I cant get my console to come up :( No amount of mashing the Tilde key works! And I've checked everything else so its come down to a corrupt install. As there is nothing else wrong (yet) I havent reinstalled.
So is there a way to turn off Fog of War without using console? And if so is it Savegame compatible?
Thanks alot
Rae.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Ok. Turning Unit Shaders on fixed the feet issue. Thanks for that ^^.
I seem to have found a preferences file and changed Fog of war to false. Though it didnt work on my save game :( but does with any new games. Bah now to start a new campaign :D Which faction tho.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
You could continue your save; just hit the ~ key and type:
And hit the enter key.

Nah theres something wrong with either my install or the keyboard I am using. But even then I can type ~ here and anywhere else.
My Tilde key doesnt open the console in RTW... I had a post up about it a couple days ago. Dont really know why. I've tried changing keyboard settings. Defaulting everything. But yea dunno why it wont work. :(
Theres no option to change the key in the options of RTW and theres no way to find it out in any of the files afaik. Whoever talked to me about my other issue said its dangerous to change hotkeys that way.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Just checked my other topic, Hehe Tellos Athenaios it was you who told me it was dangerous to change hotkeys :P
Yea my ~ key is still not working.
Thanks for the response though.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
I forgot you don't have a QWERTY keyboard: I should've written "hit whatever key is located directly below the Esc key" or some such thing instead.

And what about the "²³"-key (² normal and ³ with shift)
That's the one that gets up the console on my keyboard
Re: Couple things I noticed.
I don't have that button, so I wouldn't know. For most, it will be the button below Esc, anyway.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Tellos I do have a QWERTY keyboard. The key below esc isnt working for me.
Mediolanicus what do you mean?
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Everyone has a qwerty keyboard. It's the special characters for the different countries that are different, as well as the placement of most signs like +?\'* and so on. For instance, the key below Esc is "|" on mine, not "~". Also, I have ÆØÅ to the right of L and P, which is unique to the Norwegian keyboard.
When people say the ~ key brings up the console, they mean the ~ key on the US American keyboard.
Re: Couple things I noticed.
I have a standard US american keyboard. My ~ (the key below esc) does not bring up console. I wanted to play a campaign with no fog of war to watch the AI. Its doesnt matter as I changed it in the preferences file and started a Makedonian campaign. :D
Thanks
Rae

Well... Not quite everyone... I've got an azerty keyboard.
Just like everyone else does in Belgium and in France.
And raenor... maybe your key below Esc is just broken. Have you tried to push the key in Word for example and see if it works or not?
Re: Couple things I noticed.
Nah its not broken. ` ~ :( Must be corrupt install. Oh well.

Oh! Thanks for enlightening me :2thumbsup:. Where are your Q and W placed then? Switched places with A and Z, or is everything jumbled around from the US layout?
