Which factions will change the most?
Hello
I'm going to start a new campaign this week after banging my head against the brick wall that is the Saba campaign (still very enjoyable though).
I got to thinking that some time in the future there will be a new version out and I don't want to play a faction which is about to be updated. I do check all the previews, lovely one today btw, but I have kind of lost track as to which ones are going to be majorly changed.
Can anyone tell me which ones are going to be updated?
Thanks

Re: Which factions will change the most?
Hmm i guess i can say that Saba and Sweboz probably get the most new stuff (i am not allowed to reveal exactly what though :whip: )

Yeah, saba, sweboz, pahlava all get bigtime changes. KH probably changes the least, but they get the Spartan agoge system too. The others get new generals and captains. Lots of new bodyguards and generals all around. Hard choice, but I might go with Aedui/Arverni/Casse. There are nomad changes, getai changes, just tons of changes all over really. :laugh4:

"By Christmas" mainly reminds me of the First World War... :inquisitive:

Re: Which factions will change the most?
Only 1918 years to go then! Or should that've been 3118 years there? :inquisitive:

Re: Which factions will change the most?
Will mustard gas be involved on the way ? :sweatdrop:

On the subject of WWI, I would just like to say the Canadians were AWESOME!
Yeah, thats right.
Hopefully by the time 1.0 gets released, I'll have a decent enough comp to play it properly. One can only hope.

Re: Which factions will change the most?
On the subject of WW1.. dont forget the Ruffians. Nobody can beat their deadly charge and the Great General Winter
As a hardcore Casse fan I hope Generals unit get better for them. Thats all I can ask for.
Cant wait for 1.0..:wall:

By Christmas would be awesome . It be a great Christmas present for everyone .

Re: Which factions will change the most?
On the subject of WWI, the air warfare was AWESOME. And yes, Canadians were pretty awesome too. If you combine those two, you'll see that out of 1900 aces, 190 were Canadian. That's pretty nice, 10%.
So what was the subject again?

Re: Which factions will change the most?
We could start a WW1 thread:idea2:

No, Mustard gas would be out of the time frame. As in: "EB: 2 words, 1 goal, 0 flaming pigs". Dixit Moros.

Yes, the world needs another "lets bash germanz" thread, indeed.
BTW: The austrians were awesome too (try to manage a army with 3 official languages)!

Not counting the post victory feasts of course. Because if hollywood has taught us anything, it's that no wartime feast is complete without a roast suckling pig on the table.

If find it difficult to disagree with roast pig, myself.:2thumbsup:
Err...great! Now I'm hungry. I predict EB will be out sometime before the Apocalypse, but after Armageddon....

Aww, come on. Germans fought a hell of a fight, and in my mind were unjustly blaimed for the war. The only thing I have against the Germans in WWI is that Albatros D.V should have been tested more before pushing it to the front. The Austrians... well, they did produce Aviatik D.I, which was pretty stable after a few updates, and... no that's it. Austrians weren't very aerodynamic.

Usually all WWx threads are hijacked with comments like "germany = nazi till the end of all times". And this will result in a whole flame war about how bad my ancestors were, and that we children are guilty till the end of days. EVERY nation paid a high price in EVERY of the two world wars, but it´s useless to "hunt down" someone who can be sacrificed to take all the bad reputation which resulted out of these damn wars.
Talking about history is quite fun, but since EB is a ancient focused mod, please stay in good ol´ alexanders times.
Feel free to talk about "What happend if Phyrrus didnt died", but please do not talk about the politics about the past 100years. This topic can ruin all.
But if you want to talk about technical innovation during the WWs, well, this IS in fact a very interesting area, but PLEASE dont let it get political!
Sorry if it sounds a bit harsh, but this day isnt my best, so don´t take it too serious.
So long,
Julian
ah yeah, for the topic: There are some nice things for all factions :beam:

I would much rather bash communists actually :smash:
But i don't think that would be a good idea either (because some people get very touchy when it comes to politics)
