help with texture size reduction
so theoretically, if i halved all the textures for the units, would they still appear correctly on the unit, in game? i.e. 512x512 to 256x256
from what i know about modeling it seems like it would still uv map it correctly, just lower resolution.
my computer barely runs this game but if i had smaller textures loaded it would most likely run smoother.

The overwhelming majority of our textures are 256x256. The only ones that are not are generals, captains, officers, and possibly body guards. I doubt that resizing these few would result in better performance as they do not form a statistically large portion of models on the battle field.
Unfortunately, it seems that you will have to find another way.
