Since no one answered, I'll assume that it can't be done.

You can use a keyboard shortcut to toggle the game speed.
Look in the options.
There's no keyboard shortcut for fine tuning the game speed, e.g. for playing at 0.8x.Quote:

Are you talking about Kingdoms?
You can do it in Kingdoms and vanilla 1.2. Hold SHIFT and click on the "+" or "-" icon, and you can change the battle speed in 0.1 steps.Quote:
