.theprodukkt
(This thread could also be placed in the Arena forum, but since it more regards the way of creation behind a game I have placed it here.)
Have you ever checked this out? Here is a little extra information.
It leads me to wonder why modern games are so large in data size while they could be a lot smaller. A game that would be normally stored on one DVD could perhaps be stored on a CD. Perhaps some games would even be stored on a floppy disk or those older bigger ones whose correct name has already eluded me.
Profit, one way or another, is probably the reason, but seeing .theprodukkt potentially makes one cogitate about the matter. Imagine if game developers would apply these methods and then imagine the possible outcomes.
.kkrieger is certainly impressive.

Re: .theprodukkt
For a game that is only 96k in size, that was pretty damn spectacular.

Fantastic for the size :jawdrop:

Re: .theprodukkt
I've played it before, long time ago actually.
I would think there are good reasons for commercial games being a lot larger, for example textures, their quality and videos, sounds etc. Some files just cannot be compressed to a very small size without losing quality and .kkrieger isn't a very complicated game IIRC though the small size is still impressive.:2thumbsup:
