Kingdoms wont install! HELP!

Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but here i go anyway.

I have MEDIEVAL 2 TOTAL WAR installed, and want to install Kingdoms expansion pack, but it says
"This 1.03.000 update cannot be applied to the 1.00.000 version of the game."

Do i need a patch for MEDIEVAL 2 TOTAL WAR?

And then after a few seconds later, it says: "Failed to apply updates to Medieval 2 Total War. Aborting installation."


Help?

hmm Interestesting. The obvious solution would be to install 1.02 first.

Yep, you definitely need to have the 1.2 patch installed before putting on Kingdoms (which will then update M2TW to 1.3.)
