Paradox Interactive just announced a new game set during the rise of Rome, apparently starting some time before the First Punic War, and lasting until the start of the Empire. It's based on the same engine as Europa Universalis III, and according to information divulged on the official forums, the game will have a character system which may resemble the one in Crusader Kings. There's some early screenshots up on the official forums.

Sounds well. I like EUII (my favorite game) more than EUIII, and CK was never my favorite.
CK was all over the place. After a brief 50 years the map looks like it's been mutilated by an angry child. :furious3:Quote:

I seem to be in a bit of a minority, but I think it sounds nice. Although I'll be playing with the Hellenistic kingdomes, I can easily see the character system coming into its use there.
Did anybody try Europa Universalis III Napoleon's Ambition?
