I've tried to DL it from the two places provided - Filefront simply stops after ~20%, and I can't find a link to the file itself over at StrategyInformer. Whatever happened to the torrent? Are there any other places to grab the mod? Thanks!

You could wait a couple days to a couple weeks and get v1.0...
