What can we do????
This happens because RTW can only show 100 units in the unit selection screen on the custom battles. Because all factions have ownership over more than 100 units, it means many are left behind. So, we made a EDU file specially tailored for custom battles.
In the EB directory, you'll find a folder named "mp custom game edu". Inside you'll find the export_descr_unit files (commonly known as EDU) which are prepared to give custom battles the utmost accuracy in terms of unit availability.
All you have to do is backup the file "export_descr_unit.txt" inside the EB\Data folder and replace it with one of those above.
However, don't forget to replace back the standard EDU when you wish to play a campaign, or nasty things will happen.

Technically you can, but with those limitations indicated above.
Since the EDU file is loaded right in the start, you can't have the full campaign EDU and the custom EDU in the same game session.
Re: Re : no roman custom?
wow...i never realised so many people played custom battles. In all my years of RTW playing I only ever used custom battles when testing the RTR EDU....

Yeah, me too. I've only ever played a custom battle to test a unit bug or something. I don't think I ever played a custom battle in vanilla... maybe one to find out what Custom Battles were...

1. i replaced EDUs (deleted the original coz just dropping custom one doesnt automatically replace it since the custom edu got different file title)
2. went to custom battle and made sure all Romans are there.
3. quit
4. deleted map.rwm
5. started campaign which wouldnt start. after i pick a faction and hit arrow to start it would return me to main menu screen. is it normal?
and here is the message i got after quiting

i dont need to play campaigns using this EB folder i got a separate one for that so my question is whether newly generated map.rwm is going to be ok to use for MP players?
