Recruitable Generals, who has them?

What faction have recruitable generals, and when?

Also, is the AOR system pretty much finished for the Romani?

Thanks for all your hard work. I hope you allg et jobs with Sega/ Creative Assembly :) Your mods are soooo much better than vanila.

Every faction has them. They are effectively either mercenaries or local nobles willing to fight for anyone capable of maintaining them.

Excellent! Are they simply given to you when you make a building type 4, recruitable from the mercenary pool, or recruited from your unit list when you have a sufficient barracks? (or all of the above?)

They are recruitable when you build the last level of the regional barracks (and to have that, you need the government type 4).

That may be one of the coolest things I've heard of in any mod.

Are these genals able to move to different cities?

Can we recruit any of the same faction generals by updading our factions MIC?

Yes.
For most factions, yes.

I'm playing as the KH and I've upgraded the faction and regional MICs to the highest levels but I still haven't been able to get the generals.

Are you sure that you have the Choriton Askesis Polemike kai Skeuothekai regional KH barracks building and you can't recruit the Hellenistic General or the Celtic General?
Tell me in which settlement you can't find him and I'll confirm it.

@iamroot: I take it you don't have type IV governments; which is a prerequisite for reaching the level or regional MIC needed.

I edited the mod so that with make Factional MIC's Roma could have generals to. They represet Legate and milatry figures as opposed to political figures, so I won't have to have my family mebers controlling armies when they shouldn't be.

sweet. did you just put it into the descr_building dir? Is this the same general s recruitable by highest barracks in type 4 regional MIC?

to do that all you need to do is make equites_consualres recruitable.

I added the line making them recruitable to the top teir baraks of camillian, then I scrolled down and dded it to the rest of the high baraks.

In descr_building.txt, scroll down till you find the Baraks you want to have recrutible generals from, then on the bottom line of the list of recrutible units copy and make a new line, then change to unit name to your factions bodygaurd, and then delete all the hidden resources stuff.
Do it for every baraks you want to make generals from.

Forgive the newbish remark, but this is the thread I've been looking for ;) ..

I don't seem to understand this, there's no descr_building.txt, however there is an export_descr_building.txt .. Is that the txt file you mean? If its the case, THERE's SOOO much in there, I'd rather not mess with that, so if either you, Alatar, or someone else can be a little clearer on the directions on how to edit it, so that i can make equites consualres recruitable, that would be great! :) (Maybe, just copy and past the lines here that I would have to edit, then I can just put into my txt file.)
