Venice and Dismounted Broken Lances

How do you get 'em. i know with Milan you just need the largest city walls but in my venetian camapign even with the largest walls i can't get hold of them, anyone know why

I don't think Venice can hire them by default.
Of course you could mod them in, but that would be the wrong forum for that :wink:

But they're availible for custom battles

So are armoured sergeants for England and several other units for other factions.
EDU determines whether the unit is available to a faction in a custom battle.
EDB determines whether it is available in a campaign.

You need the highest level stables in your Citadel to get them. You also need Armour factory to upgrade their armor.

Also, you can always check it in your building browser descriptions.


It is strange, but i checked it to be sure, and i dont see them in unit browser description. But i do sure i trained them when played SP campaighn as Venice. It was before last MTW2 patch, may be they changed something.... I am sure 100% because i never played as Milan and gonna do it right now.


Last edit: just noticed , you are talking about dismounted broken lances for Venice, they never was available in Venice SP.

But strange, why mounted lances dissapeared from Venice SP ?

Sicily has dismounted Broken Lances, Venice has mounted, while Milan has both, IIRC. For dismounted the highest barrack in a Citadel is needed, while a huge wall (in a city) is the only thing needed for mounted ones. I hope that was right..
