A question about the recruitment of Dacian Noble Cavalry

So I was having fun with my new download of the EB REcruitment Viewer (after reading the manual), and came across an annomaly.

1. Getai only have 3 homeland regions available (Micro Scythia, Hyperterra Thrace, and Getai).
2. Only homeland regions can support a type 1 government.
3. Only type 1 government can build a lvl 5 native MIC.
4. Getai are the only faction that can recruit Dacian Noble Cavalry.
5. Dacian Noble Cavalry are only recruitable from lvl 5 native MIC.

From this logic if I am right Dacian Noble Cavalry should only be found in Micro Scythia, Hyperterra Thrace, and Getai. But when I look at the recruiter I can see they are recruitable in Micro Scythia, Hyperterra Thrace, and Getai but also Getai Koile, Dardanoia, and Odrysai. How could this be? And what was the EB teams reasoning for the provinces used?

P.S. I am not trying to knitpick just trying to gain a grasp on the thinking behind the work of EB.

Hmm...Dacian Noble Cavalry are Tarabostes, right? Sorry, I'm not up on the unit name translations. As far as I know, Tarabostes are in MIC 4, not MIC 5, so perhaps I'm getting the name translation wrong. Its also true that Getia_Koile is a homeland province (it has Getia in the name). Several goofy things in there...do you know how they play out in-game? You should be able to build a Type I in Getia_Koile, and you should be able to recruit Tarabostes from a MIC 4. Hope that helps a little.

Thank you for your rapid response. Sorry I mistwrote... Getai Koile is homeland not Hyperterra Thrace according to the viewer, however my logic should still be true I think. Oh and I am looking at the Ktistai unit not Tarabostas unit. And I haven't checked it out ingame, I will investigate further.

I have already stated that I read the manual (1st line of 1st post). I did read the manual, and wrote that in there to avoid just such a dismissive post, looked like that failed. I felt my question was legitimate, and I took the time to make sure it wasn’t an obvious solution. All I was asking was why the range of recruitment for one unit, Ktistai, that only one faction, Getai, could recruit is larger than the regions it could possibly be recruited in. Was it limitations of the RTW engine, archeological evidence, a slip up?

My mistake Sir Edward, looks like I somehow missed that. :embarassed:

You must have missed this part, in the limitations section, it states that the viewer dosen't check to see if a certain building can be built in a province, so while the Ktistai should be in theory recruitable in said province, the required MIC cannot be built.

Okay, thanks for your reply. But if that is the case I wonder why EB just doesn't change the distribution to reflect where it can be recruited in game, since it will never be possible to recuit it oustide of the Getian 3 homeland proinvces?

I think its a mistake. There are a couple others, none (so far) significant. I'm not sure if it was the result of miscommunication, or a dumb mistake on my part, but I don't think it'd ever have any real gameplay effect.

Thanks, that all I wanted to hear that someone in EB recognizes this and is looking into it. Also I found an example for lusitanni, bactria, and germans but i guess you guys already know this. Keep up the great work.
