Elephant numbers in battle map
I do not know if this happens with all elephants but in my current campaing as Karthadastim I use the towered Libian elephantes and the unit card shows a 36 men unit, one rider and two arcers.
My unit was a new one, a complete one. I went to war against Ptolemes and when the Elephants were displayed in the Battle map they only had one rider and one archer. The unit card shows the number 24. After the battle qas over the number in the unit card still was 24.
For a moment I thought I had confused myself and the unit was a 18 men one. It happens that I sent the unit back to their hometown and it was alloing to repair it, I spent some money and they had 36 crew again.
Every battle is the same, my elephantes never start the battle with more than 24 crew (one archer and one rider).
Think this may be a bug:dizzy2:
Re: Elephant numbers in battle map
That sounds odd...
Maybe they archers in that unit can't share and one always kills the other one for extra room in the tower... :clown:
Re: Elephant numbers in battle map
seems so! or at least one is so frightened of the elephantes that heflees before battle
Re: Elephant numbers in battle map
Far as I can tell from looking at the unit in a custom game the tower on the poor little elephant's back just plain doesn't hold more than one archer, so naturally the spare guy gets left out.
ATM the EDU has nine soldiers assigned per three extras (ie. elephants), but should presumably actually only have six.
Re: Elephant numbers in battle map
That should be the problem

has no EB member seen this behaviour until now?
