Anyone know how to do this?
or, console command to give up specific regions rather than "surrender regions" or whatever that does them all?

There's nothing except surrender_regions, which gives ALL regions owned by the the designated faction to the slave/eleutheroi faction. It's all or nothing.Quote:

Yeah, i found out the reason it was scrapped was because they bribed everyone and everything. if u want to enable it though just let them recruit diplomats.
Sorry for the wuestion, but how could we do so? It could really help me in my role playing of the game
Do you want every army of yours outside of a city to be bribed away by the Eleutheroi which, as a single faction, have millions of mnai? Do you want the occasional settlement to be bribed away as well?
If so, I can tell you how to do it, but you'll need to edit some files. Are you familiar with RTW modding?

Too bad the engine won't have them do true (in TW sense) diplomacy, ie trade rights, alliance, map information exchange etc.

Why not take just diplomats off the recruitment roster for the Rebels? Then they can't bribe, right? Is that possible?
That's what we did - they are not on the Eleutheroi roster in 1.0.
I would like just to enable a passive diplomatic posture from Eleutheroi
One problem directly against roleplaying is that the rebels consist of several several independent factions and thus if you had trade rights with them as a whole it would negate the positives of roleplaying IMO aside from them generating huge sums of revenue.
Just the same damage that not having trade rights with them all brings... so unfortunate that CA did not developed a multi diplomacy stand to allow the many Eleutheroi behave diferently
IIRC, the only thing they can do is bribe and the only thing you can do is bribe, just like now. The only exception can be seen with the Casse, who start neutral but once they go to war are unable to gain a cease-fire, ever. This means that literally the only option the Eleutheroi diplomat has, once you are ever at war with them, is to bribe your troops and cities away. With the AI financial scripts, VH strat map money bonus, and the millions of mnai the Eleutheroi start with "in the bank," this means they will recruit diplomats and do so relentlessly.
That said, again, I can tell you how to do it, but you'll need to edit some files. Are you familiar with RTW modding?
Wouldn't it be nice if there was a script for diplomats and spies as there is for units
[diplomat_<faction>]
bribe = 0
trade_rights = 1
etc...
only in a perfect world :)
hm, in ATW you can do trade negotiations and ceasefires with the rebel factions. how;d they do it?
The rebels can engage any kind of action with you, but you can only engage the 'bribe' action against them. However, if you have fought many rebels, they will hate you (like normal factions do after a short war) and never offer you a cease-fire.
