There should be no surprise there, what surprized me is that my PC can run MTWII on max and yet can suffer on EB's campaign map.
So the sea is the real problem?:embarassedg: If i'll revert to the vanilla version will it run smoother? COOOLLL!!!:2thumbsup:
But the seas look absolutely wonderful like this!
Shame to get rid of it, if it does not severely ruin your gaming experience.:wall:
I've noticed that the game runs a lot slower after I installed EB 1.0, but I didn't know it was the seas fault!
How do you revert to the vanilla sea?
The vanilla sea also makes my campaign map run smoother and quicker too...here's the link
https://www.europabarbarorum.com/downloads_misc.html
it said there was suppose to be a readme, but there wasn't... I'm not so good at searching around the files, so can anyone tell me how to make it work?
when i clicked on the sea switch link it brought me to a page full of mumbo-jumbo text, looked like some kinda code. what am i supposed to do?
use right mouse click and 'save as' to get the rar file....
cheers,
Pobs
Its also much easier on the eyes...
ur comp is slow???.... MY comp is slow :whip:Quote:

You guys are loading the old seas and then zooming around the map before starting the script and thinking it is the greatest thing in the world. The new EB seas have the same specifications as the Vanilla seas, they just look different.
Start the script and then get back to me. Or better yet, show me your actual FPS with both seas and both before and after starting the script.
Is there a way to show the actual FPS?Quote:

He's deadright . I made the new sea textures myself and the size did not change what so ever because that is not possible. I only added more detail , contrast and color to the tga's of the campaign map. The files did not change in size. They just look far better overall .Quote:

i think i am seeing a bit of a descrepency in what we are talking about you EB guys are saying the fps shouldnt be any slower, and i agree. it doesnt change my game speed at the beginning. But it seems over time my game gets slower and slower. i dont know if that helps any, just thinkin
That happens regardless. Probably a memory leak somewhere.
but what im saying is without hte vanilla seas it has seemed to slow down slower than when i had the new seas
Definitely.Quote:

I think it may be the grainier texture of the new seas that makes the animation look slower...
Whenever I try to extract it says
! C:\Users\Nik\Desktop\EB-vanilla-sea.rar: Cannot create mod_1.pak
! Access is denied.
! C:\Users\Nik\Desktop\EB-vanilla-sea.rar: No files to extract
the sea doesn't do anything for performance ~:( it's too bad
well it is possible that i have tricked myself into believing it makes it faster, so dont shatter my sad fantasies! :smash:
The user you are trying to extract it with does not have permission to write in the folder in question. Either log in as an administrator or check the permissions.Quote:

Had no problems with the new seas nor with the new skies, they are a little heavy indeed but I had not ctds from it and they are simply gourgeous
