more questions on the spartan agoge

i have only had 2 family members go through but both of them were normal before they started but as soon as they started agoge training they became stunnigly incompetent and unhappy people traited.
they went through about 4 years apart from each other. is this just darn bad luck or somethin weirder?

If they're not of particularly good potential, the Agoge might be a traumatic experience, as you can imagine. Or you might just have been unlucky with other traits kicking in, of course.
