I've always found practically all the ranged units to be sadly lacking in their ability to cause any tangible, helpful amount of damage :wall:
just depends what your shooting at, if your taking non armor piercing units and shooting feudals or another heavy unit your not gonna do too much, but if you shoot pikes, militia or other light infantry you can do really good damage and fast
and muskets if you can keep them in front are pure murderers
They aren't that bad I know, I just wish that when i watch 60 crossbow bolts hit a tightly packed formation of infantry at 30 feet, I'd see more than 3 guys fall over... :no: And lol, got any tips on how to make the artillery gunners learn how to aim? :laugh4:
i dont know whats up with my art half the time, i only know i'll have success with big powerful guns with lots of room in front
catapults almost have to be in front of the army to want to shoot
i rarely use trebs so i dont know about them, but i bet they have a really high arc of fire and could fire over the heads of your men easier, but i'm just theorycrafting
