Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
During the last three weeks Mrs Clegane and myself have been traveling around in Eastern Canada (i.e. Ontario + Quebec).
We had quite a blast - great food, (mostly) fantastic weather, very nice people and marvelous scenery.
Following are some pictures from our trip - starting with Toronto

I see the undead have reached Ottowa. This is good to know.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. It's always interesting to see one's home through another's eyes. What did you see in Toronto (I can only place one of your Toronto pics for sure :sweatdrop: )? Old Quebec City is a national treasure.

Quebec really is beautiful, I'll give you that. (But we can acredit that to the French :beam:)
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Canada is a very beautiful country. I have lived there at times before in my life, in some of the places you posted, and I have visited all of them. Amazing pictures, and I'm glad you had the chance to experience what you did. ~:)
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Wow. Ser Clegane, you really have the knack for finding striking patterns and colours in a way few photographers ever master. Some absolutely stunning photos there.

We walked around quite a lot in downtown Toronto - roaming the streets in general, did a bit of shopping in Eaton Center, walked through (and had a very nice dinner in) Chinatown, went to Kensington market, walked through Yorkville, visited Casa Loma and also went over to Toronto Island for an afternoon.
In addition we had the pleasure to have a Thanksgiving dinner with friends who live in Toronto :beam:
Quebec City certainly is a gem - and apparently it is getting polished even more for next year's festivities.

Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Ser, those are fantastic pictures. You once again demostrated you have a great "eye" for a picture. They are far beyond mere holiday snapshots. It looks like you saw some really nice places. :2thumbsup:
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Ser those are beautiful photos. Some are very artistic, others look like they should be a postcard.
What camera are you using?
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Excellent photos. Truely fantastic. What's the camera? The colours are striking.
You're undermining the professional photography industry y'know, should put a (c) Ser Clegane in the bottom RH corner...
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Wonderful pictures, Ser :2thumbsup:
Thank you very much for sharing those
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Beautiful photos, very nice. Makes me want to go to Canada.
As has been asked before me - what camera are you using? Judging by the quality it's probably not a bog-standard digital camera, presumably something with a hefty price tag.

Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
I am using a Nikon D80 - for some of the pictures (e.g., pic 3+4 in the last pic-post) I used a pol-filter on my "main" lens (a 18-75mm), which enhances the colors.

Believe me - I made plenty of those as well :beam:
The posted pictures are only a small part of what I have taken ... of course these are some personal favourites and not necessarily representative for the overall "portfolio" :sweatdrop:
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
They are very nice nonetheless. :2thumbsup:
Every photographer makes lots of photos and then selects the best, nothing unusual.
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
Ser Clegane you are a very talented photographer... great eye for scenery. I wish I was half as good.
Re: Traveling in Eastern Canada - pictures
I agree, good photography.
