Re: My Rome is messed up.
You can change your faction heir and don't let the Lusotannan guy lead any more armies....
Re: My Rome is messed up.
I don't care, I just think it's strange.
Re: My Rome is messed up.
If you want your EB to be as historically accurate as possible you need to put the effort in yourself, you can't just allow a Carthaginian dude to be your heir and turn round and say "I don't care," implying it's the EB teams fault and they should make sure it can't happen. Sure there are one or two little issue with traits, I have given up level 4 govts with Rome as the client rulers always get senatorial offices and I seem to get a lot of 21 year old quaestors, but it's a work in progress.
Re: My Rome is messed up.
I thought the "change heir" button was greyed-out, disabled in EB. At least it is in the Saba game I"m playing right now. Maybe it only works for some factions.

I don't want to be historical and I'm not saying that it's the EB teams fault, I'm looking forward to a Carthaginian leader and a a barbarian triumph guy. The only thing I said was that it was strange, strange doesn't always mean bad.

Saba seem to be a bit odd, they don't have any faction leader or faction heir traits for some reason.

Re: My Rome is messed up.
I don't think the kids would have any surnames...
Re: My Rome is messed up.
Poor litle kids, no surnames...:sweatdrop:
We need to start a charity: Campaign for treachouros half caste barbarian children surnames!
Also know as the CT, HC, BCs
Re: My Rome is messed up.
Heh heh.
:beam:
Guessing that the barbarian guys would marry roman women, I think it's best to marry off their half-breed daughters to good Roman aristocrats. That would ensure the Barbarians' grandchildren would be completely assimilated into Roman society.
As for the Barbarians' sons, well... They won't have surnames, and they won't belong to a certain roman class, such as being a Patrician or a Pleb. They'll basically be nothing, and worth nothing. They should die.
That would solve everything. I based these theories, assumptions, and advice on what I learnt from vanilla RTW. I loved bribing enemy generals and making them my kings. I find it interesting to have my faction led by a foreign aristocracy.

Well, in medevil times, evry country was led by forigners, or maybe it would be better to say there was one big family of royalty, who rulled all the worl between them.
And then they would argue, as families do...:smash:
Re: My Rome is messed up.
Did they have any nasty family secrets?
Re: My Rome is messed up.
Depends, there was a little philadelphos, at times, I belive...:embarassed:
Re: My Rome is messed up.
The Franks did have some nice ways of doing politics... though. Not good if you were to be the sister of a future Frankish leader...
