I've decided to try and fix this. I installed Microsoft Office 2003 and it appears that Word, Excel, and Powerpoint all hang on start up. Anyone have any experience with this?

I assume you've done at least one uninstall/reinstall? May I recommend another?
Try 3.Quote:

My computer turned Russian for a second. Let's try that again, shall we?
I just reinstalled Microsoft Office again. It caused all my gadgets to crash. I will NOT be trying that again. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm still listening.
Get OpenOffice!
...I know, lame suggestion, but that's what I did. :sweatdrop:
... I did this. Unfortunately, my professors only accept MS tagged papers (online turn in). I don't mind converting the files on a friend's computer, but this is somewhat inconvenient.Quote:

OK, I got everything except word to start up. However, I can't open files. I can make them, but I can't open them...
It's even lamer than OO, but Office 2007 will most likely work. :sweatdrop:
Sorry, but I have no idea why, my Outlook 2002 seems to work fine so far, for the rest I use Open Office.
I'd rather to keep my stuff without kill switches thank you.Quote:
