The Turcopoles are not really great, but they are better than the normal Horse Archers, I believe.
What got me out of my chair was when another player was complaining that he had never seen a single Turcopole in their provinces.
I suddenly realised I had never gotten them either in the specific provinces Syria, Antioch, Trilopi and Edessa. Instead I recruited two of them in Normandy.
Ok the AI might have disbanded two full units, but it is not likely. I wonder how come you never see Turcopoles in the provinces they should be special to, but once in a while in other provinces.
Anybody else seen this?

Hmmm... I think I have found the problem.
While the techtree has the Turcopoles as Catholic units they appear as Egyptians in ShadeHonestus' comparison tool.
This has to be a bug as they were in fact recruited by the French Crusaders.
