What determines the rate of recovery?
What determines the rate of recovery? - if a unit revives from being a casualty
Weapon attack, lethality, stamina, health points, ancillaries, general traits...?
I think one of my units recovered to 100% after several of their soldiers were burned to ashes by fire arrows... O_o
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Weapon type mainly. Injuries received from missiles recover best, then light weapons, then heavy weapons.
Ancillaries help greatly from my experience. And they're not all equal, some are better than others. I posted something a while back that listed each ancillary that gives recovery bonuses and what their skill level was, but I can't recall where.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
For one thing, the winner of the battle always seems to get a better recovery rate.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
I thought the losser never got any recoveries at all?
Fair enough, IMO.
And the AI always gets high recovery, at least it does on eb difficulties.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
^ lol, MarcusAureliusAntoninus was joking. The recovery rate for the loser is 0.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Also, there are some character traits that boost the recovery rate
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Are there?
I thought there were only ancilaries?
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Generals who become druids have a small boost to casualty recovery. Top notch druids get a big boost, but take a long time to get to that level. 32 points are required, and a guy with maximum intelligence and vitality has 50% chance of gaining 1 level each turn while staying in settlements with certain temples, so on average it will take 16 years for those rare specimen. Mediocre people have about 10% chance to gain a level each turn, effectively barring them from achieving such a high level.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Hmm, to what extent historicaly, would a celtic nobleman be prepared to get his hands dirty, and actualy heal people after a battle?
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
Miraculix (or Panoramix or whatever he's called in your language) tends to make sure they don't get hurt in the first place :clown:.
Re: What determines the rate of recovery?
:laugh4:
Translation: Wait for a celtic historian?
Fair enough.
