Give trait or ancillary or Kill character? how to ??
Hello everybody, sorry for my english first of all.
I know that there are 3 commands for the editor
give_trait
give_ancillary
kill_character
I tried many times but I never successed.
The same answer is always: character not found
Playing with Romani I use the various *txt lists for names, ancillaries and traits trying with exact letters reported (Caivs, CaivsA ecc)
Does anyone know how to make the cheat work ?? or if it has been already discussed in another thread and if it mess up the script ??
I would be interested in kill_character command (direct order from the dictator to commit suicide :bounce: )
Thank you
And also,
Can please someone explain the meaning with other words of the FAQ about exchanging ancillaries ?? I understood that charisma permits to have more ancillaries, and also it seems that if a character with a tutor receives an ancillary from another character then it will be stopped the queue by the script.
Thank you
Re: Give trait or ancillary or Kill character? how to ??
The simplest way to kill a character is to suicide him on an enemy army or fleet. You can even have him establish watchtowers/scout camps on the way to his demise. It is very hard to know the internal names of characters in EB 1.0, particularly for the romani.
Charisma does not limit the amount of ancillaries in his total retinue, but reduces the amount he attracts on his own. We count the ancillaries gained by each general, so if you transfer away all ancillaries you'll find there are no more coming to him eventually.
You can transfer additional ancillaries to a general at any time, however the "starting ancillaries" (tutor, spear carrier etc) that you gain by clicking the general while outside a city have a great number of anti-ancillaries. This is intentional and blocks transferring of too many powerful ancillaries to a single general.
Was this any clearer?

'kill_character' doesn't work as a cheat, only as a script.
The Romans have the 'hidden' last name of "Romanvs", so you have to figure out their first name and add 'Romanvs', not their visible second and third names.

Thanks Bovi, and Marcus.
Then for the give trait and ancillary:
give_trait "Caivs (or CaivsB ecc. following the list of the script till you pick the right one) romanvs" "traitX"
or maybe: give_trait "Caivs_romanvs" "traitX" ??
Thanks
Re: Give trait or ancillary or Kill character? how to ??
give_trait "Caivs[A-K] Romanvs" traitX levelN
I think.
Edit: corrected by Atilius.
Re: Give trait or ancillary or Kill character? how to ??
As The Mark once pointed out this kind of thing can become "a bit futile :skull:": we've got internal names as "Firstname[A through Z]" so there's no telling what Caivs, Publius or Blasio you'll hit.

Caivs, CaivsA, CaivsB, ..., CaivsK. We stop with K.
