Right.
So, here's the plan. I was thinking of starting a Koinon Hellenon campaign, and then completely abandon the cause in Hellas and taking my soldiers someplace else, something like an ancient Greek colony (Bosporos, Pontos, Massalia?)
Anyone has a plan for this?
This has done a lot of times before (it is very tempting with KH). I would suggest either Syracusae or Pergamon for a "faction change". Both are not far away from the main theatre and allow for a "glorious return", they represent Poleis that were quite strong in our time frame and they have a good number of other Greek towns around that allow for the establishment of a factional homeland.
You should migrate to Cyrene.Its very hard being sandwiched between Ptolies and Karties,but its fun.
I played a KH campaign where I migrated to the Crimea, great fun, you get basically all you're old units in addition to steppe cavalry and armoured archers!
I've done this before too (and I'm about to be kicked to the Crimea in my Pontic campaign). One suggestions, before you being, go into the Descr_strat file and change the "faction_creater" to Makedon, Epirus (Thrace), or the Seleukids (romans_julii). That way, cities in Hellas won't "rebel" to you.
Also, I've been thinking about a Makedon campaign where either I'm kicked into Thrace and become the Thracians, or I play the game for the first 20 years like the AI, and only start when all I have left is Mytilene.
Hmm... I would go for Bosphorus, Massalia, or Syracuse. Pergamon seems too close to home to really make much of a difference. This reminds me of a Lusotannan AAR that someone did a while back where he migrated all the way to Ireland. But Elphir, can you do 2 AARs at once? You can't be thinking of abandoning Epeiros??
I've just spent the last 8 turns in the Bosporos as Pontos and it is a lot of fun. If you don't go there, I would recommend trying out Massalia.
I will NEVAH abandon Epeiros!

Okay, I've actually started the campaign now and went for Massalia. I took that city and blitzed Tolosa, Emporion and that-other-city-near-modern-day-Bordeaux.
It's going pretty well now, just came out of my debt and I was thinking of migrating into Iberia now.
Migrate with the KH and create an indo-greek kingdom.
Edit: Oh, I see you already took Massalia. Yes, why dont you try Iberia. Or, better yet, Numidia! That would be a challenge...

I was thinking of Massalia but that got beat by pirates. My current successful KH campaign is Syracuse - immediate access to ridiculous units...
Sounds like great fun. I would choose Crimea. Let the Makedones think they've won for a while, the true Hellenes will come back!
If you want something unique, then try to migrate to Arabia or something. Or Caucasus... a Hellenic kingdom in the mountains:yes:
