free image converter?

Anyone know of a program that will convert multiple pictures between fromats quicly and easilym without having to load them up one by one in something like the gimp?

I have no firsthand experience with it, but a quick Google reveals this.

IrfanView is quite good. Easy to batch convert.

just incase you're doing RTW sprites there is a tga to dds batch converter here:

that's all it does I think but works well for that purpose.
