Its actually quite obvious.
The problem at the very start is that you don't have watchtowers that cover all your lands, so the dark spots on the minimap obscure the borders somewhat.
Once you start building watchtowers however, the borders should be striking out at you.
Yes, build lots of watchtowers and you will see :2thumbsup: It is marked in your colour and your neighbours colour. If it is grey then you have rebel neighbours (which is good).
If you cannot build watchtower then you are either (i) standing near a neutral/enemy agent, (ii) near a fort or watchtower, (iii) outside of your borders. ~D
(iv) have a region that was bugged by an unannounced disaster.
v on a place hats too uneven/near forest to build a watchtower
Not true in M2TW. You can build anywhere which is not adjacent to another unit/agent that is not of your faction, inside your own region, not affected by any announced/unannounced disaster, next to another fort/watchtower.Quote:

Fortunately, it is very easy to remove floods from the game, even for an unexperienced "moder" like myself ~D. Since I've done it, I forgot that this bug even exists.Quote:

Removing both kind of takes a lot of disasters out of the game (leaving only storms and plague)
I'm pretty sure the earthquakes doesn't produce the bug. I had some earthquakes in my campaigns (since I removed the floods), and I was able to build.
I haven't tested it extensively so can't tell for sure (mainly because most disasters except for storms are not announced generally unless you lose a named unit)
However I did have floods before that still allowed building and earthquakes which disallowed building.
Maybe I was just lucky with the earthquakes ~D. If so, I'll remove them also. I'm rather obsessive with building forts and watchtower, and I can't tolerate the inability to build them. I'll rather live without the disasters.
I just can't understand why this bug wasn't fixed, as it was present also in Rome TW :inquisitive:
You can build WTs in eartquaked provs. In flooded ones you can build them later, some 50-100 turns from the event. Like DVX BELLORVM I always build them instantly when I take a province. I always have roaming generals out there for that purpose and taking out spawning rebels.
So .. I can build forts next to forts too??Quote:
