persistent CTD with KH

i had a strange persistent CTD playing KH. i solved it on my own but it needed some cheating to do so. i'll share it with the group, perhaps anyone has had a similar experience?


the year was 228BCE and i had just raided the 3 major carthagian cities of utiqa, carthage itself and adrumeto. as i quickly saw that it would be impossible to keep them, i sacked everything except my goverment centre and MIC. i retreated to sicily and all seemed fine. BUT in the first turn of 227 BCE a CTD happened when carthage was at turn. i tried every single fix (including temporary) but nothing worked.

i then decided to use drastic measures, namely using add_money and buying every town in north afriqa from them. and oh wonder, the problem was solved. so i then did it again only buying the 3 previously mentioned towns. i destroyed my MIC and gov-center and abandoned them again. the year is now 216 BCE and nothing has happened.


so it must have been my gov-centre that caused this CTD? i dont understand why, so if someone could explain? and is this just a random error or not? i have a policy of sacking major enemy cities and then abandoning them if i cant hold them, but never had this problem.
