They are very frustrating.
I want to attack two enemy ships in two neighbor water territory, but every year they change water territory. So my own ships cant attack them.
I thought I could do the same against the A.I. but even if i send my own ships into another water territory the A.I. is able to attack and sink my ships.
Is this a bug please fix it, and if not, make it possible for either the human to attack the enemy ships before they can leave the territory or dont let the A.I. attack the human ships if he deside to leave a water territory.
Hope you understand what I want to say.

I had this trouble, look at the speed of the ships that you are using, then you can see your problem. This kind of thing happens when the enemy ships are faster than yours. If you buy some faster ships and attack the enemy with them then you will hit the jackpot.

I usually have a nice mix of ships.
3 caravals and 2 barques.
Usually can get the enemy fleet.

There is a bug to do with ships escaping from attacks which by rights ought to have a decent chance of sinking them. This has been addressed in the forthcoming patch.
