Getting to americas

:help: Im playing as sicily,conquered italy,africa,and iberias western coast,but the game doesnt let my fleets sail To conquer the americas,The date is few turns after the discovery of gunpowder,its like an invisible wall of the coast of portugal,But I want spill some astec blood so bad

You need the "World is Round" event to occur and a certain kind of ship to sail those deep waters.

You have to wait until the world is round event at turn 160. Sorry..but use the your remaining time..to kill some mongols.
