Please post the full results here. If it's really big, upload it to a free hosting service like Rapidshare or Axifile.
The missing patch_1.pak could indicate that you haven't patched RTW to 1.5 before installing EB. EB requires 1.5. I don't know about the added files until I see them.

Well,here's the thing I forgot to mention.I have RTW Gold,and neighter 1.3 nor 1.5 patches work.I receive some message that there is no RTW installed or something like that.I assumed that RTW Gold is allready patched,since it is a copy a bought last year.

First I notice is that you're using the modesty patch. I think you're the first one who has posted results with that :beam:. It's no problem, I'm sure.

The second thing I notice is that you have installed Alexander. While some people claim the AI is better, I believe this could be the problem (unless you're using a NOCD crack, in which case that is definitely a problem).

* make a backup of the entire RTW folder so you can return to Alexander if you should decide to for some weird reason.
* uninstall EB and RTW
* install RTW again without BI and Alexander, and do not replace the executable. Use the CD.

Well,I do have Alexander installed,cause I bought me the TW Eras package.
I doubt that my RTW,BI or Alexander are cracked,cause I didn't see any crack files,and I ordered it from an online game store.
I suppose it is an original new copy.As for the modesty patch,well I taught it will do no harm.
Oh,and I hope that my version of RTW is already patched up,cause when I look at the version it says 1.0.
So,all this being said,what do I have to do now?

I have the same problem,and the same message regarding the insufficient memory apears.I must tell you that iti is impossible to install RTW only.It automaticaly installs BI.I've ran another validation check,and here is the result.http://rapidshare.com/files/84615419...sults.txt.html

I'm pretty sure others have said they installed Gold without BI...
You need to run the validation tool from the RTW directory. The current output says it can't find any files at all. You could take a quick look at it yourself next time you run, to see that it makes any sense.
Also, did you see the checklist in the sticky? Try all of those, and copy the checklist in here with what you've done.

Sorry about that.I was pretty tired.Now I'm uninstalling RTW and EB again.and I will try to browse the cd,maybe I can install RTW alone,cause if I run the Autoplay it installs BI automatically,without asking me anything about that.Both games run on with the same cd.Only Alexander is a different matter.I'll also take a look at the sticky,maybe something will prive usefull.

Sadly,I must tell you I an in the same situation.This time I installed EB without the modesty patch,but nothing changed.Is there a chance that the EB file I downloaded might be the problem?

Not really. The installer will validate its integrity before starting the installation, so it would take an extreme "luck" to get a similar corruption in the checksum as whatever else that happens, I think that's like 1 to a trillion or something. Still, if you're unsure, you can run another MD5 validation of it, check the installation guide sticky for the sum you should have and how to calculate it again.

I'll have to find another results file from Gold, to see if you have indeed tampered with it or if it's the way it's supposed to be.
The rest seems okay, besides the BI being installed. You could try to run the 1.5 patch just to be sure. And of course, do the checklist in the sticky.

Bad news,again.I reinstalled RTW,EB over and over again.I tried all the permanent fixes one at a time,and still nothing changed.The same annoying message regarding the lack of video memory apears.Now I must ask this stupid question: does EB by any chance,need different video requirments than RTW?
About the patches...the 1.5 and 1.6 don't work.For some reason they are not compatible with RTW Gold.I couldn't find any 1.3 that is not corrupted and that can be unpacked.I guess the version must already be patched.
It seems all is hopeless.Maybe BI is the reason EB doesn't work,but as I already told you I can't install one without the other.I don't know how other RTW Gold works,but this one from Eras has both on the same DVD.
Anyway I think something's fishy.I just read the manual again,and there it says that it is not essential to install BI,but it is recomanded in order for RTW to run properly.The thing is,as I already said,that I don't have a choice.The manual also says that by installing BI,RTW will be patched to 1.4.There is also something fishy about the manual too,cause for more installation issues it sends me to page 81.But on page 81,there is a section from MTW explained,as all the games from Eras are explained in the same book.
I'm thinking about talking with someone from SEGA.....
Nevertheless,here is my latest validation result.If you think of something,I'm all ears.And do you think I should go on on trying the rest of the fixes?

You need to use ALL the permanent fixes, in combination. And to get past a CTD during the campaign, to install ALL the temporary ones, in combination, then restore the original files. But the fixes don't concern this error (as it happens during loading of a campaign), but rather errors when running a campaign.
Yes, I do have suggestions, given to you several times:
_ Using a nocd crack? Your game won't work, use the original executable instead. There is no point in trying the rest of the list until you install a fresh, clean 1.5 RTW.
X Install RTW and EB once again, from scratch
_ Install using 7-zip rather than installer
_ Download a map.rwm file and place it in eb/data/world/maps/base (requires both the disaster and Oppida permanent fixes)
_ Add -nm to the shortcut. This disables movies. Using an NVidia 8xxx graphics card? No movies for you, you will probably HAVE to add this switch.
_ Delete some interfering files that Vista hides in its bowels
X Run the validation tool to diagnose the problem
_ Install the fixes linked in my sig
_ Add more swap space in Windows, and other technical measures you can take
_ Using RTW Gold? Try to uninstall everything and do not install BI
X Got an ATI Radeon X700 graphics card? Apparently some setting called "Support DXT textures format" is creating problems. Try to change this setting for the driver called "Support DXT textures format".
_ Using Nero Burning ROM? Apparently it does something weird to TGA files that causes CTDs when starting EB. At least one forum member got EB to work after uninstalling Nero.
Particularly I want you to try the bolded ones, but ALL could be relevant.
Can someone who has Gold tell him how to install without BI, and tell me whether the executable is supposed to be different from the patched one?

I told you I don't use a cracked RTW,and it is impossible to me to not install BI.That's it.Sadly,we're getting nowhere fast,and I don't know about you,but I'm sick and tired of all this process.I've spend the spare time in the last days on installing and uninstalling RTW and EB,fixing and refixing and I'm done.
I'll just order a new copy of RTW alone,and I'll keep you informed on what happends.

2.The only way I manage to install the game is by executing the setup icon,or play the dvd.the archived files won't unpack.
3.I've operated all the permanent fixes,one at a time,as well as all of them.
4.I don't ude Nvidia.
5.I use XP Professional.

7.Done it.I still have to talk to someone from the support team in order to find out if anything is wrong with my copy of RTW,and if I can install RTW without BI.

1. Could you PM me the executable file? If it works on my installation, it should also work on yours, and then it has to be another problem.
2. Install 7-zip, and open the installer with it. Extract into a RTW directory. It works. If it doesn't, there's either something you do wrong, or something wrong with the file you downloaded.
