Install problem with Demoshield on Vista

So I got a fancy new computer and of course want to play my favourite game on it. But as soon the DemoShield is started from the install menu it just crashes and no game :(

The little I've seen about it is that there is a general driver conflict between DemoShield and Nvidia 8800 GTX, which sucks monkey balls. I've got the newest drivers and it didn't fix it.

But if there's anybody who's experienced the same problem and figured out a workaround I'd be happy to hear it? Yeah, I know XP is better. But I thought I might as well join the future now, even though it may suck somewhat now. But I didn't expect it to suck this much :(

I'll risk getting slapped by pointing out the obvious workaround: Upgrade to Windows XP.

Otherwise, doing a little Googling, it looks as though you're gonna have to tell us which application is conflicting, since Demoshield's conflicts with Vista appear to be numerous ...

I don't know what's conflicting. It just dies without a message. It's a fresh computer.

Well, what are you trying to install?
