Do I need to have -show_err switch in my command line or can I replace it with -ne?
As so far I've had no crashes and would rather play in windowed mode so I can TRY to get some work done while I play (try being the operative word here).

In command line you can use many switches.
Just add -ne switch "-show_error -ne".
