It's my first Day!

Hello Everybody,

Im a amatuer wargamer, in central florida. I am a CIV3 player andI have dabbled with MTW and RTW, and love the series so much, i just purchased a $2400.00 gamming system to play lag-free. Hopefully I'll be able to play a full game without having my computer crashing. If anyone has any helpfull hints about "hardware" Please drop me a line 'cause Im kinda computer ignorant.

SO about me. I live in my hometown in central florida near orlando. I live with my wife of five years and my one year old baby girl. I spend much of my time working, and with my "girls." That's about it, I hope to make some new friends.

While I myself am not qualified to answer your hardware questions, I can tell you that MTW & RTW are both known for sometimes having issues with certain graphics cards and video drivers. In addition, at least some people have had problems running the games on Vista (they run fine on XP).

For more specifics, you may want to post your question(s) in the Apothecary. The good folks there should be able to help you out. Good luck!

In my own RTW experience, I had to finely tune the graphics options in order to get decent performance, despite my good hardware system.

As for your hardware question,I have an Inspiron 1501 with Vista and RTW and its expansions play fine,M2TW lags,and MTW & Shogun would CTD when I'd start a campaign.
