is there someone? just curious... do you celebrate every 4 years?
MY uncle is the 29th he just moves it to the 1st of march in common years
ah, that make sense. I was thinking people born 29, count the years every 4 so after 20 years, they still are 5 yo...~D
It would seem to be an obvious solution...
me thought it was obivious (to celebrate 1 genuary), but the TV news have just sayd they celebrate every 4 years... bah.Quote:

There is no way that the state have him down as 7 years old. Databases that keep count of the age of a person do not count the number of days of his birth that have passed, they count the number of years.

That´s why his ID says he´s 29, just that it´s also in the database that he´s born the 29 february and that there´s something wierd about it. Ah, I don´t know, he didn´t explain it very well (I suspect he was intoxicated) and I didn´t listen very well. Oh well, I´ll just go to sleep now and return tommorow to hope that this thread has disappeared. Good night.
If his ID has 29/02/1979 (or if your perverse 02/29/1978) there is noway in hell that it needs an extra section saying that he is 29. There is no way in hell, given that birthdate, that anyone checking the ID is going to think the guy is 7. If that is required then I would leave that area now as that is proof positive that the world has gone mad (just like having instructions on a packet of toothpicks).

sorry for the spam-like thread, i was just curious cause the tv news, anyway there is this proverb that says "Anno bisesto, anno funesto" (bisestile year is an unlucky year) so better to forget it:sweatdrop:Quote:

Then again, it's a good measure against unemployment, as it costs people time every day when some specification just says DATE and shows an example of 01/02/03. :gah:Quote:

The American way is direct translation of the date as it would be written. Like "February 29, 2008" would be 'February -> 02', '29 -> 29', '2008 -> 08' which is "02/29/08". Though that doesn't change the fact that it is a stupid order to begin with, especially since I've started writing "29 February 2008" instead. I completely agree that the European way is better...
My dog...
He, do you count his age in double dog-years then?
We count them as if he was born on 28 February. Strangely if we were counting the every four years he would be the youngest dog to die of old age.
