Shakespearean Mafia [Concluded]
A Town Crier in England 1617
Welcome! Come one come all to the greatest entertainment you shall ever witness. A long forgotten play by the recently departed writer of the ages, that wonderful Will Shakespeare. This play is to be nothing short of miraculous fusing elements from all his previous plays and placing them in a menagerie of stupendousness. Prepare to be amazed as you witness a story of love, of revenge, of greed, and giving. The only thing left is for you the audience to give those lovely actors your praise and adulation.
Meanwhile…
A mysterious figure walks up to another deep in shadow.
Figure1: “so yah think it’ll go off without a hitch then mate.”
Figure2: “Yah, the old mans never gonna see it coming…”
Figure1: and once they’ve kicked the bucket…”
Figure2: “Why of course the show must go on.”
(There is a glint of gold in the sinister smile)
With those ominous statements the two figures depart in opposite directions after a surreptitious glance around the dark alley.
Meanwhile there is a man in a dingy London row house sitting at a desk eyeing a rather large knife. He begins speaking to himself………
“He stolez it from me. He stolez it from me.”
“He shall regrets it, yes precious…. He shall.”
“ The plagiarist WILL PAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!”
With that the man began a seemingly frenzied slashing at his desk scattering what appeared to be pages of a books or maybe a play of some sorts…

Well my lady... At times you just get lynched for almost everything and anything.
Then at times you'll have a blast.
If you keep playing you might get lucky one day, but if you don't... Well its a big shame
I'll miss you.
In another words, give us few games until we adapt to your natural scumness normal behavior

I wasn't going to join this, but it certainly deserves the sign ups, if you don't get the required amount, put me down.

I think I was just a little meh earlier today and blew the situation out of proportion out of sheer frustration and stuff. I assure you that I'm not going anywhere, fellow curtain-twitcher. :curtain:
Cent, the only way I'm going to get people used to how I play is by playing more, not rage-quitting like an idiot. I'm definitely in, if you'll have me.

You're most welcome.
It only took ten seconds to find a pic of ol' Shakey, crop it and upload it to Photobucket anyway, and then a further five seconds to make a mockery of Julius Caesar. xD

I've actually already pestered him to sign up during a recent phone conversation; he told me he wasn't interested in the game, or something to that effect.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross'd lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents' strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark'd love,
And the continuance of their parents' rage,
Which, but their children's end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours' traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
If worse comes to worst and you can't get the sign-ups you intended, Centurion... is there any way of scaling down the game? I think it's a travesty that we have 60 players in Dark Falls and over 30 in both Shadow Fort and Mafia IX, but you can't get 17 sign-ups...
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
That makes 16. We only need one more now...

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Rehearsal Night 1
Act 1 Scene 1
Henry: Oh William would you care to determine whether or not i be accursed with an affliction.
Sir William: Of course my lord.
After a bit of puttering about the good doctor determined that the King was in fact quite fine.
Sir William: Well my lord it appears you are as strong as an ox and in perfectly good health
Henry: why thank you William may i inquire as to your heal-
Before the word even left the Good kings lips, a parrot shaped boomerang snapped out of the dark backstage and hit the Doctor in the throat. After hitting the Doctor as a true boomerang it attempted to return to the thrower. However, this thrower ran away screaming as the parrot approached him.
Killer: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!! I FORGOT IT CAME BACK
He swiftly ran away and when some men went to check they couldn't find anyone.
Henry: (ducks for cover in a quite unkingly manner) Holy **** is this in the script!
Steven: CUT!!!!!!!!! What the Hell is going on here, when i was directing my last feature presentation nothing like this happened. Someone get him out of here. Deviating from the script, my word, when i find out who did this ill have them Lynched!
You sons of guns better find out what happened and decide on who's going to suffer from ruining my production!
Two actors meet.......
Actor1: Where the hell were you!
Actor2: I couldn't get there this time. don't worry you still took care of it.
Actor1: yeah well don't do it again, ok.
Actor2: Whatever.
Chaotix is Dead (Pro-town Doctor)
Begin Day1 lasts 24 hours, Results will be sent soon.

I advocate vote:no lynch this early in the game; we've already lost our protector role, I wouldn't want to lose another townie at this stage.

Even if we are trying to prevent that from happening, it would be wiser to vote for someone.
It sparks discussion. And if by the end of the day, we can't reach the conclusion, we can just go for no lynch.
Until then.... Draw thy sword! And poke the heck out of thy opponent till they shout "No more" and confess.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Even if I'm usually a pro-no lynch person, I'll go with Beefy on this one. Although I'm torn on who to vote as usually my first vote goes to Beefy. Hmm... As I peer through the crystal ball of random.org it tells me I should Vote: miotas
Speak and thou shall be unvoted.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
O, A most gastly turn of events,
A most useful member of our troupé hath been felled
By the blade (or boomerang) of a foe most foul!
Brethren, Comrades,
The task of avenging our dearest doctor,
Lieth heavy on our shoulders,
And We must move quickly and with decisiveness!
Lo, Secura,
Art thou the villain we seek, I wonder?
vote:Secura

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Unvote, Vote: Yaropolk
Yaropolk. Yaropolk. Where for thou art Yaropolk?
Speak up. And clear thou name. And all of us shall do the same.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Woe is me, condemned to wander endlessly,
My hunger untouched, my desire not yet invented,
The man from the land unfound is not guilty,
As to who is, I shall ponder some more.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
lol, this tally is mostly for my benefit i mean no one likes to come back to tally at the end of a phase and reread all this wifom.
No lynch 1 (secura)
Miotas 1 (theflax)
Secura 1 (diamondeye)
Yaropolk 1 (beefy)
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
...............
I hope you all realize that I joined this game because I got early-round killed in both The Shadow Fort and Mafia IX.
That said, I think it's not Secura. Don't vote for her.
EDIT: Actually, I advocate the lynch of Diamondeye this round.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Secura, it is too early to go the No Lynch route as has been mentioned by Beefy and TheFlax. it will be the best option if we cant gauge anything through pressure. We have a doctor, so we might have an investigator as well. So it is a good ploy to take the No Lynch route when in doubt.
The last time someone suggested it very early in the first round, they turned out to be scum :stare: and you were also in Swords and D20s.
Vote: Secura
Chaotix, any particular reason you think Diamondeye should be lynched?
-

I don't really recall much of that game considering how long ago it was; as the game is over though, you'll find I was actually "Gabriel, the dashing Rogue", a neutral-aligned, pro-town investigator.
I would have posted something more constructive, but the last time I did so I was vehemently attacked and labelled as scum for the entire game whereby it transpired I was town all along. I don't wish to lose again for making such an error, hence my no lynch vote. :3

Poor lady, so mercilessly hounded,
From game to game, however she plays,
Let's be gentlemen, give her a chance,
If she is scum, investigator will find.

Secrets he hides, players he confounds,

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
'Tis my observations, people;
Behold the behaviour of Atheotes and miotas,
Who would back up a baseless accusation,
With the vigor of these gentlemen?
Thus, since Secura hath upspoken,
And satisfied my want of attention,
I darest vote: Ahteotes and FoS: miotas,
If behaviour speaketh an understandable tongue
In this early hour.
Also, I inquireth thou, Chaotix late,
What are your suspicions,
That I may redeem my name in thou eyes?
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (Sign ups)
Unvote: miotas though something rubs me wrong about his vote, likewise for atheotes.
Vote: Winston Hughes
Where art thou?
