Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
If AVSM is mafia, why did he lynch atheotes?
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Hmm... How about this:
unvote: Beskar; vote: Thermal Mercury
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
I thought he was first to do it and in my head I had thought that he was doing a distancing tactic but this is not the case.
unvote avsm

Notice how TM manages to focus suspicion on AVSM for voting against john, whilst simultaneously putting john's innocence into question for having not been murdered, and also referencing the possibility of a protector, perhaps with a view to tricking that person into inadvertantly revealing his identity.

I think your reading a bit much into it and posting a block of text without trying to say much.

Sorry for bothering. I'll just lurk here silently, shall I?

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
There is a difference between thoughtfull analysis and mindless gush that looks like a contribution but it is mearly and whole bunch of nothing. Why so defensive?

Mindless gush?
If you want to offer an alternate opinion, then I'm keen to hear it.
At least I'm trying.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Because he is mafia.
Unvote; Vote: Winston Hughes

Because of your behaviour, also, johnhughthom voted on me based on metagame reasons which he admitted to. Also, Centurion1 is completely late with the round, so might as well try to take out a mafia opposed to another townie death.

Why do you think I tried to make a case against TM? I've been a bit lazy with this game up to now, but with some time on my hands, I figured to try some analysis. Given the half-baked choices previously on offer (yourself, john or AVSM), I figured anything was better than nothing.
If you lot think it gets us closer to finding the mafia, then go ahead and lynch me. I'm clearly not helping here, and I can understand why I might be a suspect, based on the atheotes lynch in particular. You'll be disappointed when you find out the truth, though.

I'll admit, if you are not the mafia, I'll be disappointed.

Don't sound hurt - if your not prepared to defend yourself and your ideas then don't blame the people who are willing to question them.

Your not. If you actually wanted to try you'd just flatout say "and due to this, I'd advise everyone to vote this way". You keep responding defensively, and your behavior is quite off. I actually have to agree with Beskar on that one. instead of sounding hurt and trying to play the victim card, argue your case.

Defend them against what? It's not like anyone's actually addressed what I said. All I've had are comments like "mindless gush" or "you're reading too much into it", as if there's no possibility that TM actually is mafia.

Then your case is that TM is mafia? Why not say that. Why not explain your vote or give a theory, or evidence. Actually present a case, don't make a mystery novel out of it that we have to dechiper. All that has gotten you is people's suspicion, not their support. Your still acting the victim as well...

So pointing out the scumminess of his post doesn't count?
Okay, how about the fact that he (like me) is one of the people who opposed the atheotes bandwagon when it first got started?
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Since you also proposed a case against Beskar, and I too am suspicious of him, then simply let him die today. If we are wrong, we are wrong - Beskar is usually helpful regardless, and then we can vote for TM.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Although Beskar switched his vote away from atheotes, in what might have been a bid to save a mafia buddy from the noose, he did vote third on that bandwagon iirc. I'd consider that a pretty risky move, if he were mafia.
Is Beskar the type to try that sort of thing?
If you're not sure he is, then TM (or any of the rest of us who voted against the atheotes lynch) would make better choices.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
I switched because TheFlax was falsely claiming I was the Mafia when I wasn't because he suspected there were two kills a night, which we later found out was because of Secura wasn't killing because he decided to do this night 1 then after that round revealed to me because he was sure I wasn't the mafia.
-
Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Beskar claimed detective publicly in one game and survived several rounds - when he was a mafioso.

Desperate measures, if you remembered correctly as well. I prefer to keep quiet when I am a power role, however, this always backfires as because for some reason, I always end up on a first round lynch on me.

Okay, if you think it's his kind of move, I guess I'll unvote: Thermal Mercury; vote: Beskar.
Better him than me.

I still say you didn't have to - extremely ballsy move. Are you willing to help regardless after your death? The town could use a conscience :P

I never done it before, my attention wanes, to be honest. I am in the view that the "dead are dead". Also, no one even listens to me when I am a proven innocent townie and keep wanting to kill me, nevermind when I am dead. (IE: Creeping Darkness, Shadowfort, Star Wars, etc) (IE: Mafia XI, others for inactivity after dead)

I confirm this.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
Then - Unvote:, Vote: TM
I'm holding Winston accountable though.

Re: Shakespearean Mafia (In Play)
For the record, this is who I roleblocked:
Night 1: Beskar
Night 2: Beskar
Night 3: Winston Hughes
Night 4: Yaropolk
