Oh I remember when this happened and I gotta say, the Popeyes chicken sandwich is better than Chick-fil-a's as its bigger so more bang for your buck and tastes just as good. Where I am, the Popeyes chicken sandwich combo is $8 and that gets you the sandwich, medium amount of fries, and a medium drink. That same amount of food at Chick-fil-a is probably around $12 if not more since their chicken sandwich is around $5 and smaller than the Popeyes one so overall less bang for your buck.Quote:

I wonder if there's a difference in quality between American and overseas stores. I have visited McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken, the rest being largely unavailable in Europe. KFC was meh, but McDonald's was terrible and not particularly cheap either. My problem is not the health implications, but its actual taste, it honestly reminded me of burned plastic. I will never understand how these chains became popular in the US, unless there's a dramatic difference in quality.
Pizza Hut, on the other hand, was amazing. Haven't tasted it since a long time though, as its overseas stores have been gradually declining in numbers for more than 15 years.
I used to eat McDonald's weekly ~15 years ago. On the few occasions I've had some in the past years, my perception has been that the quality of the meat was markedly improved.Quote:
