Is there a specific settlement where you want to start??
some place with academy or something, where I cna pickup nice ancilliaries?
I'm at work atm, so haven't really had a chance to look at the map and situation.
The very best place for that would be Alexandreia, which is part of Aratos' (kingsnake) satrapy. Second best would be Seleukeia, I guess, the capital. If you start there you may very well find yourself commanding an army against the Pahlavans! Oh, and the Seleukid armies can be quite different as there are so many choices to make, but pretty much all our armies are made up mainly of phalangites of differing quality, supported by some Celtic-style units like Thureophoroi. I think the only army that has a real hoplite-style unit in it is mine (the Hypaspistai), though.
Of course, if you don't want to lead an army for whatever reason (failures would be welcome though ~;)), you can always ask the Chancellor (currently that's Navarro951's avatar Panaitolos Ankyrikos) to make you a Strategos Chreopylax of the settlement you are in, which makes you the governor of it, and allowed to set taxes, make a building/recruitment list in your SOT for units and buildings you want built there etc.
Though it just dawned on me, why is it the Chancellor who gives out that rank? I mean, it's the Basileus who owns the settlements (since the Chancellor can't do that with settlements from a satrapy, right? In which case it's the satrap who owns it instead anyway), so it doesn't make much sense to me that the Chancellor can give out his settlements to someone else to rule. Unless there's some good reason for this, I think I'll propose a CA to change this in the upcoming session.

Those RBG's will be recruited once navarro ends our current turn which will be about 6-7 hours from now. After that I(or navarro if he have the time) will post their mugshots here and you can make your choice.
If one or two of the hotseat games I'm in ends I'll have to give this game a try.

Yeah, we really need more players to stir things up a little more in the Council. So take it the right way, Zim, when I hope one of your hotseats end in a sudden, immediate and unavoidable CTD. :devilish:

I can't resist reinstalling EB any longer. Luckily all my old RTW cds seem to be fine despite not being kept in cases as they should be (funny, my music cds seem to get horribly scratched no matter what I do...).
I'll likely need a day or two to go through the rules and make a separate install for the mod used and such (assuming it is modded from vanilla EB) but I think I'll be taking a character in the next turn or so after all. :yes:

There's the 1st Babylonian that should be in Seleukeia unless Cultured Drizzt fan moved it out this turn. You can join that one. If you don't like it, a 2nd Babylonian army will be created. When it will be created depends on our income. Persepolis revolting back lowers the need for it a little bit.

Before I'm rushed with questions, I have to say this is completely new to me and I've never joined any of these guilds before.
Now, that said... who do I have to kill to get my own Satrapy around here?

To get your own Satrapy you must talk to Basileus Sarpedon(TCV) but looks like it will take a lot to convince him to create one now.
And when you decide whether you want to sign up then let us know. Currently, Kleombrotos Syriakos should become of age next year, Siles Laodikeias Lydikes and Hierax Syriakos the year after that. If you don't want them then I will spawn you some RBG choices.

To get yourself a satrapy you have to slay two mountain giants and a cougar with your bare hands, then you have to present their hides to me and let me take the credit. All this IRL, of course.
