Still cant conect to tosas server,
said loging on 1ce
then failed to conect
Now it just hangs at Connecting,
followed by failed to establish a conection
Usual story for me.

Didn't work by me either.

If you download shambles total war That will do it for you,

but ip adress you need to change to
ShogunTW.no-ip.info

Drisos and I managed to squeeze in a short practice session. I will try to be on from 7pm - 9pm GMT to provide an extra practice body. He did quite well today. He could see my messages on the field, but I couldn't see his ... weird. But he was able to execute the manuevers nicely, so it all worked out.

Hopefully see you and Trish in the near future Shambles (and you too RabidGibbon, if you're still out there ...). My VI clannies tend to be on in the evening US, so I'll be able to play stw sometimes.

Yep, I could see yours, but I couldn't chat myself. The praticing went quite well.

I hope to be online too in the evening, so we can carry on with the practice. Shambles, today I don't have that much time anymore eiter, we could do some battles in the weekend.

Have we got 8 players yet? I lately checked and saw cha's opponent is still to be decided, is that correct?

I think you need an EZ-board account for those forums. If you try over there, you might find a few more players, while we only need one.

I saw HeavySword's name stuck in Tosa's foyer, so he has been on recently. I know he really likes Shogun MP and might join the tourney ... problem is, I don't know how to contact him. If I see him in the foyer I will tell him about the tourney and see if he is interested. If he is, I'l give him the sign-up e-mail. He is a good player. He likes extra strong yari sams and specializes in defending large hills, so be advised.

I saw him once too, but he didn't respond to any messages.

Maybe we can contact him via e-mail if anyone has his adress?

Heavysword posted a hello at the 47Ronin forum today, so I replied and told him of the tournament in the post. I included a link to the tournament thread, and also a link to Shambles' website. Hopefully Heavy will respond.

Wow ... had 2v2s on Shambles' server today! Anskar, Itto Nakamura (R'as A Ghul here), 7Bear7Bottom, Heavysword, and me were all there. Had some fun games. Anskar is interested in the tourney, and I think Heavy is too. Bottom mentioned 7Bear7 may very well put up a fakeserver also.

Also saw a Neil Watanabe briefly, but we went in game and when we came out he was gone. Hope to see more in STW-MI on Shambles' server soon (check Tosa's too, as we switch around depending on what server is available).

Been a lil busy of late But i see a lot of people using my fake server,
Just a lttle request,
If its possible could you log out properly,
When people fail to log out properly It creates a socket error and server closes and i then need to restart it,
Its not a lot of bother but it also forces others out of the server,
so if you could possibly make shure that you log out it would help a lot,

Maby log out a bit early if your on dial up and only stay online a few hours, at a time :)

When a person is dropped from a game before it finishes (or in many cases before it starts), sometimes they are not returned to the foyer but to the screen prior to the foyer. Sometimes it is then necessary to relog back into the fakeserver. When this happens to me, I have to change my name or I get an error logging in. The drops are not caused by anything we do ... it happens to all of us sporadically, on your server more often than Tosa's, but it sometimes happens on Tosa's as well. I suspect these drops and subsequent relogs are what are causing the socket errors (though the server has never gone down as a result while we were playing).

Whenever I finish playing, I log out normally. I don't know of anyone I've been playing with that doesn't. Hence, I think it's the unexplained drops from battle that are causing the problem.

We were getting dropped constantly on your server yesterday, so we got frustrated and went over to Tosa's. I'm not sure what the problem is, but no one was abusing the server in any way--we played normally, as we always have for the last year and a half or so. At one point we were just sitting in the foyer and chatting when all of a sudden we all got disconnected several times in a row and had to relog. Two of us had to change our names to reenter the foyer, and our old names persisted in gray for a while after the drops occured.

How does having dial-up and staying on for a long time contribute to this problem? The game was designed long before cable and DSL were commonly available, as was the fakeserver ... .

If we are causing problems then we can use Tosa's server instead if you'd prefer. 7Bear7 is also putting up a fakeserver soon, so everyone will have plenty of options. We've been meeting on yours because yours will most likely be used for the tourney games, so I've given some friends your internet.cfg parms and encouraged them to sign up for the tournament. That's why we've been spending time on yours instead of Tosa's.

Tosa is technical and has been running a fakeserver for a long time now, so maybe he can offer some insight into the problems that are occuring.

Couldn't connect to Tosa's today so we've been on Shambles'. change first line in internet.cfg to:

ChatserverIPAddress = ShogunTW.no-ip.info

to access Shambles'.

Anskar, Zipper, 7Bear7Bottom and me were on this afternoon. We usually meet up between noon and 1pm PST. Play until peeps have to go. I've been trying to meet with Drisos earlier, when he has time ... usually around 11:00am PST.

Not many playing yet, but we're putting out the word.

I think I'm contacting the 7bear7 STW-diehard's (7bear7 bottom, 7bear7 yogi, more? . . .) about a training or memberschip at the 7bear7 clan. I'm not sure yet, but I certainly want to do somthing with the huge amount of time I have this summer. ~:)

I really hope things keep improving in STW MP. I plan to set up an STW site this summer too.
Lately, we've got some new MP players(shambles, trish, hunkinelvis, wilbo,drisos(me ~:)) ) Toga, anskar and heavysword are also quite active again, and now the bears plan to put up a server too. Things R going fine! ~:cool:
