yeah see i tell myself that and then i post 1500 times to ensure i dont die and then after the game insist i should never play mafia again just to play mafia again a week later

this game i felt like i was gonna break that cycle but now im too invested

The katze read I made about their long post is the most concrete thing I have right now.

Sunbae also had concerns about my Mont thing and I feel like I put it well in my post. It is just something that I would expect people to shade Mont for even though I would disagree with their suspicions but I would still expect someone to point it out as potentially suspicious or whatever. There has hardly been talk around it in the first place.

I agree with Sunbae's take on Zack/Newcomb for the time being.

Guess I should mention the accusation that I am not adjusting to the game well or whatever. And the answer is pretty simple

It was early on in the game and I wanted to get the content train keeping on steaming down the tracks. As it turns out, it worked, it got people talking about me and stuff. Funny how that works, it's not like I was gonna be lighthearted and jovial all game, I'm kinda a tryhard who doesn't like to have fun after a chunk of time has passed

most people thought enders eod2 was outting for him so but i dont remember thinking that

if his eod is openwolfy i'd assume he doesnt leave vote on teammate unless he's very confident they dont go over tho

Sleep and HK have kind of gotten free-passes for a huge chunk of the game based on like one or a couple of things and reevaluating that sure it can be done to a bigger extent now in f5 but id rather just, have us wait until f3 when we really would need to, and i genuinely would rather see hk and sleep in f3 than both you and cape.

i think a lot posts hk made are posts that kind of look like they were made to get townread off? and the solviong content is not that strong. cape feels like he keeps trying to analyze things, oftentimes he goes down dead ends but hes exploring a lot of paths. thats what im getting here

Newcomb was right on Ender. Wrong on Monte, leaves Me, Katze, Cape.

kinda wanna just speed run this and if I'm alive in F3 insta-vote the person I feel is most likely town.

ok, why each person can be town:

katze - this started out purely as a meta read. I reviewed Katzes wolf games I've seen/been in and in those games there's more self-depreciating humor, more self-votes, and more generalized shitposting than there is here. Not to say that there isn't any, but it's not as pronounced. From there I watched katze do actual work, make actual reads, and appear torn on where to go. Is all of that possible to be faked? Yeah, for sure it is. Katze is a fantastic wolf.
Dobby said yesterday that katze was playing exactly like they needed to play to win the game as wolf. I said I wasn't as sure. Then we chopped Cuth instead. All of that to say katze is town because this is vastly unlike any of the wolf games I've seen them bring, and they're doing a reasonable amount of solving while not being over the top.

Cape - reasonable associations with flipped wolves, was pushed rather vigorously by Ender, appears as lost as anyone.

Sleep - tbh fucked if I know. I don't actually have anything I can think of off the top of my head why Sleep would be town. That has to be rectified.

Dobby - Early on Ender when Ender didn't need to be bused, rarely appears on bad wagons, has shown willingness to re-evaluate strongly held positions.


Why each person can be a wolf:

Katze - has yet to vote a wolf (unconfirmed I guess but still with three dead wolves you'd think katze would have voted for one of them by mistake or something by now), mind changes often in ways that are unknowable at times, does not appear to have been strongly pushed by any wolves

Cape - Bit sheepy and bit stingy with the voting, like katze don't think they've voted a wolf yet. Some anti-associatives from dead wolves but could be distancing.

Dobby - This one I struggle with and basically the thought here is that dobby is playing exactly how they would need to in order to win the game as wolf. GTH the biggest indicator that dobby could be a wolf here is how quickly they shifted perspective on me after being gung-ho for the better part of 2 game days HK wolf a relatively brief conversation flipped the script and now dobby is one of my biggest defenders. If dobby is the wolf the play is to take me to F3 and have me vote with him. This read functionally doesn't exist till F3 though.

Sleep - Like with the reasons to town read again fucked if I know. Sleep has been a blind spot for me for basically the entire game and I've been letting everyone elses reads of Sleep do it for me.

tbh Sleep is where I'm going to focus my reading and attention today.

(i wrongly wrote off ender because of this and i was naive! ladd has a spiel about not bussing but i didn't appreciate the difference). trying to put over a competent partner who isnt getting suspected is just bad play. and then ultimately if im getting bussed i push him back, i dont dumb flop onto newcomb at the last minute

in general i feel like the way i responded to ladd where i was increasingly suspicious of him and interrogating him abiout his read of cape is not what id do with a teammate and shows that i really thought i was onto something in how evasive he was bein with that read


furter from that: as scum here i would be plotting out path to victory. im sure you know how that goes. i have been generally townread but not TOP townread, i would be sitting in a good position. i would not need to upset the status quo. there would be no need for me to come in here and go "hey actually i think its hk" because now you dobby and cape are all giving me the stinkeye in response. i could easily win by taking the path of least resistance. im doing this because i think im onto something

counterpoint: you can't take both cape and I to F3 if you are the wolf. That relies on chopping katze today and NK dobby. So shifting to me, getting me across the line, and then NK either katze or dobby (most likely dobby tho lets be real) gives you an F3 of Cape, Katze, and you. That's a F3 you can win by going back to saying "man I was super wrong on HK but that means it just has to be Cape here" and literally nobody will blink.

admittedly cape has tailed off in the more recent parts of the game. dont know how much of that has to do with being overburderened with another game + the game being hard from his POV. certainly his weakest posting. however i still like his early game a great degree and think its better than what hes shown his scum game to be. i dont want to succumb to recency bias in my read there.
