Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
How about a friendly wager?

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
I want me to stay alive now, just to spite all these people saying I am the mafia, because they will rage about it then the game ends and they see I wasn't. Then they mysteriously never post again in the thread.

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
If I'm wrong I'd hat down to your towness and the mafia's apathy, but that's then and now is now :P
Few hrs left and only you voted though :S
Csargo strikes me as a lurker, who barely follows the game...
Flax I think is townie, while Beskar is the last mafia...
That's my feeling, don't stump on it :D
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
I'm going to have to vote the person I consider most likely to be scum. Vote: Csargo
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Tally:
Csargo: 2 (Beskar, Flax)
The final three contestants came together to vote the final person off, well two of them did anyhow and they agreed that the missing hopeful was clearly behind all the naughtiness that had ruined their chances of fame.
As Csargo was removed, well he had already left, the two remaining contestants looked at each other warily. "So," said Beskar, "shall we audition again and the winner gets the place in the band."
Slash.
Evil chuckle. "I think not."
MAFIA VICTORY
Mafia team:
TheFlax
Zack
Secura
Game mechanics:
Lots of pink.
Vanilla, except for the audition mechanism, which the mafia could choose not to do, and was cancelled when we were down to the final scum. I was rather amused when this implicated Beskar, I know he is going to say I made it up just to frame him, like I apparently changed the mechanics in the first game to deprive him of a victory. Mafia QT is here, and what an optimistic bunch they are, though I did play on that a little...

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Where's my joker victory?
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Oh, you.
Also, nice job, Flax. That was a well-deserved win on your part.
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Wow, I did not suspect Flax at all, unless as a scum duo with Beskar.
GG then.

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Thanks guys, it is a pleasure to be back and win my second victory as mafia. I was impressed the way some of you figured out certain things pretty accurately and I was afraid I would not be able to sneak by. I kept expecting Beskar to call me out. :clown:
If you check out the QT, you will see we expected to lose, badly. I think the fact that auditions were suspended after Secura's lynch was what really saved me in the end.
Thanks for the game JHT.

To be fair to Beskie he did say to me on Steam chat today that he knew it was you, not sure why he didn't change his vote. Though he may have just been trying to get me to say something more than "no comment"...
Thanks for taking part everybody.

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
I want to see Secura's and The Flax's auditions. BTW GG by The Flax, I just wasn't expecting there to be 3 mafia in this game.
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Congrats to Flax, Secura, Zack and Beskar for their victory.

Actually, my audition got played for Zack because of a mix up. So he really wasn't lying when he said it wasn't his audition. :clown:

You clearly don't know me
I was wrong and I can admit that, not that it mattered anymore because we all were wrong about Flax, nice game mate
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
I knew it was Flax because he seemed so keen about the game to me in private. The problem was, if I voted for Flax, Csargo would have voted for me anyway.
So I thought "Well, I rather lose to Flax by getting night killed" and went for it. :laugh4:

Beskie is going to say I did this intentionally to frame him
That is actually true. I thought it was more cunning, for example "It was a mafia ability being used" hence why I posted my role-pm because I foresaw it occurring.

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
GG. I can't pretend I had any idea who was mafia at any point in the game - it was good to read the QT - certainly proves the rule that it's never over til the fat lady sings... hey wait - I WAS the fat lady :stare:
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
After reading the Mafia QT, I just don't think that this game was well thought out. The fact that the Mafia could only win by not auditioning their tapes is not a good way to win. the clue that bound them together should have been much less obvious than them being Simpsons characters. The idea of the game was good, just that the execution was lacking.
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Interesting QT and I agree with what was said about mass reveals. In a game like this I think it should be forbidden for people to post their auditions before they were up, or even roleclaim, but since it wasn't and everyone started revealing I was playing along. Don't like being lynched when I'm town

The main problem for us was that we had no cover roles whatsoever and couldn't throw them out during the performance phase; we either had to perform as we were (and I would've been lynched once you saw that I was Groundskeeper Willie!) or not perform at all, both of which were scummy as hell. We had to rely on inactivity and utter fabrication and it really didn't work for us.
Really, the game was stacked heavily in the town's favour and it's only through town oversight (such as the fact that the very first kill was Warman wondering how his killers got out of the TV!) and inactivity, in addition to sheer tenacity on Flax's part.

I think by the time JHT realised that revealing en-masse would break the game, it was too late. :<

I totally agree and it's a shameful experience to have lost a game that was basically handed to us :sweatdrop:
And I wasn't blaming JHT or anything, just explaining why I did reveal, even though I thought it was silly.

Host is highly amused at the townies criticising a game, which was heavily inbalanced in their favour, that they lost. :laugh4:
The guys who were inconvenienced had their say a while ago, and took it well, offering advice rather than criticism, for which I am grateful.
I'll probably give up on hosting mafia games now, I seem to be better at non mafia, like my Game of Thrones game, coming after Capo. Shameless plug over.

I had wanted all the mafia roles to be B-Sharps auditions, Willie's was the only one I could find, all the other videos had the entire scene.

Eh eh, I think the concept is fun, just need to make mafia's audition more similar to town's ones and no reveals allowed...
It ended quite silly though, ppl going inactive, and the last votes on the Csargo, who auditioned and wasn't a Simpson :S
-
Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Sign ups]
Yeah what Arjos said.
Good game JHT, thanks for hosting. I didn't like that the mafia killed active people.
I wish you had given me that nonvoting role.
Good game scumbags, even though I was killed early again.

Re: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame IV: The Reality Show [Concluded]
Congratulations, Flaxy!
You very big win.

As you can see from the QuickTopic, we didn't like doing it but it was pretty much the only way to overcome all the odds being stacked against us; being killed didn't stop you posting and pushing for my lynch, anyway.
