It is not stressful to live with people who think differently than you unless you are a pig headed dip****. You are just a zealot.

Many people were content with government repression of faith and thought in England during the 16th century. They stayed in England in large number. Those who left, ostracized, came to the New World in large number. The ideologies of the new world have largely eaten the lunch of the old world. That's not implied, but to break the hold of a poisonous culture you can leave it and start the multi-generational process.
Everything about this paragraph is highly idealized or blatantly wrong. As soon as the first pilgrims landed in North America the first one to go against the flow suffered the same persecution as the whole in England. In reality it was never the difference in religion that made people leave England, but the absence of power. And that's all you want. Is to put yourself in a better position of power so you can dictate your zealous beliefs towards others. There is no stress in your life but the imagined stress of living as commoner with no say over other people. You are the opposite of what the US claims to be about.

I certainly am a zealot about some things. Your argument is to stay and change. I reject that argument. I firmly hold many of my beliefs and have never liked NY in the balance of like to dislike. I will try somewhere else. If wanting political influence is un-american, tell that to the millions who fight tooth and nail for it everyday. Nothing wrong with a bit of zealotry. In almost no areas do I tell people how they must live, as long as they are'nt killing people. Some have a brand of politics that does just that. I reject it.
zeal
[zeel]
nounfervor for a person, cause, or object; eager desire or endeavor; enthusiastic diligence; ardor
Nothing wrong with zeal, if you've got the energy. Passion isn't unamerican. If you mean that I am irrational or someone consumed improperly with zeal, I would disagree.

It took me a while to remember, but some people actually do care about the 3rd Amendment.

I just chose the most minor things. The entire western hemisphere is basically Europe-lite.
